FitCoach is an offline-first app: the thinking happens in your phone, not in a data centre.
A Rust engine
Building the programme, raising the loads, tracking muscle recovery, working out nutrition targets, running plans and rewards are written in Rust and tested apart from the interface. That engine is what decides, and it decides on the device.
A Flutter app
The interface is written once and runs on Android, on iPhone and on a computer. It speaks five languages and rearranges itself on a large screen instead of stretching.
A Laravel server
The AI coach, the gym directory, the community, the videos and the backup live on a server with its administration panel. Without it, the app stays whole for everything that needs nobody else.
Open data
The exercise catalogue comes from free-exercise-db (Unlicense). The reference foods come from the USDA SR Legacy table (public domain) and the CIQUAL 2020 table of ANSES (Licence Ouverte Etalab 2.0); scanned products come from Open Food Facts (ODbL). The gyms come from OpenStreetMap. The Manrope and Barlow Condensed typefaces are under the SIL Open Font License.
To decide
Who is behind it
To be written: the name of the publisher, in a sentence or two.
What FitCoach is not
A medical service. The advice given is general training advice. In case of pain, injury or illness, the right person is a health professional.
