Delete your account and your data

How to ask

Write to us from the contact page, or to the publisher's email address, with « Account deletion » as the subject and the email address of the account. Nothing else is asked for: no reason, no identity document. Before you delete: the subscription

Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription bought in the App Store or on Google Play: only the store can cancel it, in its subscription settings. A subscription bought on this site is cancelled from the « My account » page, and is cancelled anyway when the account is deleted. A period already paid for is not refunded merely because the account was deleted.

What is erased

Everything that ties you to FitCoach:

• The account: email address, name, password, link with Google or Apple.
• The profile: age, sex, height, weight, measurements, goal, level, declared pain.
• Training and nutrition: plans, workouts, runs, meals, scanned products, progress photos.
• The conversations with the coach and the photos you sent it.
• The community: posts, comments, likes, follows, gym bookings.
• Outside connections: Strava is disconnected and its access tokens destroyed.
• On your phone, all that is left is to uninstall the app: what it keeps locally goes with it.

What is kept, and why

Almost nothing, and never to find you again:

• Invoices and proof of payment: 10 years, because accounting law requires it. They carry your name and an amount, nothing about your training.
• A message sent from the site: 24 months, long enough to account for the answer given.
• The server's technical logs: 90 days, then erased by themselves.
• The backups, for as long as their rotation lasts: 30 days at most.
• Nameless counts (number of workouts, most-used exercises) that can no longer lead back to you.

How long it takes

The request is acknowledged within 72 hours and carried out within 30 days at the latest, usually well before. You get an email when it is done. Deletion is final: there is no bin, and nothing is restored afterwards.

Erasing without deleting the account

In the app you can erase the server backup, disconnect Strava, take down a post, a comment or a photo, one at a time, without touching the account. What is erased there is erased for good.
